Mind Wellbeing
Creative direction, strategy, and design for a brand changing the conversation around wellbeing.
Mind Wellbeing: Changing the Conversation Around Mental Health
Over the past two years, I’ve worked alongside founder Hannah Dunn to evolve Mind Wellbeing from a personal concept into a national movement — now a registered CIC delivering workshops, training, and resources across UK schools and businesses.
Our collaboration spanned every aspect of brand building: from early messaging and strategy to the complete visual identity, print collateral, animation, and digital presence. Together, we developed a brand that communicates warmth, professionalism, and transformation — positioning Mind Wellbeing as a beacon of compassion and change.
The Challenge
Hannah came to me with a powerful story — her own lived experience inspired a mission to reshape how society talks about “mental health.” The challenge was translating that deeply personal vision into a professional, evidence-based brand that could be implemented across schools, councils, and organisations.
The language of the sector was clinical and outdated. We needed to craft something new — rooted in faith, hope, and connection — yet credible and scalable enough to influence educational and corporate frameworks.
The Process
Our work together unfolded across multiple phases:
Brand Strategy & Messaging – Refining Hannah’s philosophy into a clear, actionable positioning: “Change our words, change our world.”
Identity Design – A logo suite and playful submarks capturing wonder, imagination, and community, balanced with professional clarity.
Colour & Typography – A carefully balanced palette of bright, reassuring tones and clean typography to convey accessibility and optimism.
Illustration & Animation – Introducing “Wonderfill,” a character who helps children explore emotions through storytelling — later animated for digital resources and presentations.
Print & Digital Collateral – From website and social media, workbooks and presentation templates to business cards, event materials, and t-shirts — creating a fully cohesive visual ecosystem.
TEDx Talk Support – Art direction and slide design for Hannah’s TEDx presentation, visually expressing the core message: Words are powerful .
Ongoing Consultancy – Continuing to advise on rollout, tone, and application as Mind Wellbeing expands its presence nationally.
The Result
The final brand embodies the heart of Hannah’s mission — blending scientific credibility with emotional storytelling. It’s now recognised across the UK for its pioneering approach to emotional literacy, communication, and connection.
What began as a personal journey has become a tangible movement, supported by schools, councils, and organisations seeking to build healthier, more compassionate environments.
Creative Direction Notes
My role extended far beyond visual design — guiding brand strategy, storytelling, and long term creative direction. Each element of the identity system was built to feel human, tactile, and grounded in Hannah’s values, while maintaining the consistency required for national growth.
This project exemplifies how I approach brand building: through deep collaboration, narrative-driven design, and emotionally intelligent strategy.
I don’t just craft visuals — I design clarity. Mind Wellbeing proved how the right words, visuals, and tone can transform perception.
Let’s redefine how your audience experiences your brand.
